What's one thing about your country that most Australian don't know? Colombia produces around 70–90% of the world’s emeralds and they are considered the best quality on Earth.

What's the best part of teaching Spanish? The best part is seeing someone find their voice in another language and realizing they’re capable of more than they thought.

What's one piece of advice you have for students? It’s okay to make mistakes. The key is to keep trying, learn from them, and even laugh about them.

From: Paraguay

Specialty: Teaching students aged 4–11 years old.

What's one thing about your country that most Australian don't know? In Paraguay, we have two official languages: Spanish and Guarani, an indigenous language. This makes us bilingual.

What's the best part of teaching Spanish? It’s comforting and rewarding to see the kids improve and learn so quickly while playing and having fun. It’s also adorable listening to them speak Spanish.

What's one piece of advice you have for students? Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, that’s how you learn.

Specialty: Teaching in schools, in private tuition, and in corporate settings.

What's one thing about your country that most Australian don't know? Our national flower is the Christmas Orchid, also known as the Flor de Mayo (May Flower).

What's the best part of teaching Spanish? Teaching my culture along with the language to enrich the experience.

What's one piece of advice you have for students? Take it easy but steady; progress is slow but it will show if you are consistent.

What's one thing about your country that most Australian don't know? Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves in the world.

What's the best part of teaching Spanish? Helping people connect with their goals through the language and being part of that journey is incredibly rewarding.

What's one piece of advice you have for students? Stay close to your goal, as it will help you keep going, even when learning feels challenging.

Specialty: Helping kids, adults, and travelers speak Spanish confidently for real-life situations – not just from textbooks.

What's one thing about your country that most Australian don't know? There’s a place called Caño Cristales that turns bright red, yellow, green, and blue for part of the year. It’s often called “the most beautiful river in the world”, and it looks almost unreal – no filters needed!

What's the best part of teaching Spanish? The best part of teaching Spanish is seeing students gain confidence and realize they can communicate in a new language. It’s very rewarding to watch their progress and to share not only the language, but also the culture behind it.

What's one piece of advice you have for students? Don’t be afraid to try! Making mistakes is part of learning every time you try, you get better.
