Mis Amigos Spanish is a friendly and fun Spanish program created to share the love for the Spanish language and culture with kids and adults in Sydney.
Through songs, games, stories, and real-life situations, our students learn to speak and understand Spanish in a natural and enjoyable way just like learning with friends - amigos! 🧩🎶
We believe learning a language is much more than memorising words, it’s about connection, confidence, and having fun while discovering a new world.
At the moment, Mis Amigos Spanish offers classes in two companies ELECNOR and AFTERPAY and at Greenwich Public School as part of the after-school program.
We also offer group and private classes, both online and face-to-face in Cammeray and Crows Nest, including HSC and IB exam preparation sessions for high school students.
Each class is full of laughter, creativity, and “¡buenos momentos!” 💬✨
Our story
Hola!
I’m Lucía, a Colombian Spanish teacher based in Sydney. I arrived in Australia in 2018 planning to stay for just a couple of years… but life had other plans 😉 and now I proudly call this country home.
Since then, I’ve worked as a Spanish teacher in well-known schools in Sydney and taught online to students from all over the world. I specialise in Spanish as a Foreign Language and in preparing students for HSC and IB exams.
What motivates me the most is not only academic results, but seeing my students use Spanish in real life: travelling, communicating with confidence, and connecting with new cultures.
Mis Amigos Spanish was created from this experience: a community where learning Spanish is personal, fun, and meaningful. Because Spanish is more than a language it’s culture, connection, and passion.

Patricia ‘Pato’ 🦆

¡Hola! Originally from Paraguay, Pato moved to Australia 8 years ago to improve her English and ended up falling in love with the country! 🇦🇺💛
She has worked in childcare and schools, teaching Spanish to kids aged 4–11, and loves making her students laugh while helping them explore the Latin world through play, music, and creativity.
Her friends and students call her “Pato” which means duck in English 🦆 because she’s cheerful, curious, and always ready to make learning fun! 🌈

A few years ago, I moved to Australia, where I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to share my love for learning and teaching with students of all ages and backgrounds.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages and a Master’s in Education, and I have over ten years of experience teaching English and Spanish in private schools, universities, and companies.
My greatest passion is helping Spanish speakers feel proud of their accent and gain confidence when speaking English, using pronunciation as a powerful tool for authentic, clear, and confident communication 💬💛.

With over 7 years of experience, I help adults communicate confidently and naturally in Spanish for work, travel, and everyday life.
I’m a Public Accountant with a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language and a certified Spanish Language Coach. My classes focus on positive mindset, real communication, and making learning a meaningful and enjoyable experience.
